Listen Without Interruption

I enjoy that Google Chromecast Audio uses WiFI to stream music because most audio technology is either associated with a wired connection or requires a bluetooth connection. Chromecast Audio integrates WiFi to ensure that casting won’t drain your battery or get in the way of other activities such as answering phone calls, surfing the web, or even leaving the room. Below is more information on the benefits of WiFi streaming over bluetooth connection.

Overview

Chromecast Audio is a small device that plugs into your speaker for streaming music through WiFi. I chose to research this product for my Tech Project because I enjoy anything associated with music. Technology such as this allows for more music-related innovations and I am enthusiastic to share about new ideas that provides exposure to music.

Multi-Room Feature

The Multi-room feature lets you group Chromecast Audio devices together so you can listen to the same song on multiple speakers. I enjoy this feature because you can always be constantly connected to your music even if you leave a room. It also provides the chance to enjoy it with your friends if they have Google Chromecast Audio as well.

WiFI Bluetooth
Music streams from the cloud so it sounds exactly the way the artist intended. Audio is re-compressed, which can compromise sound quality.
Keeps playing without disruption, even if you get a phone call or a text notification. Phone calls and notifications are heard over the speakers.
Chromecast Audio streams music over WiFi, which means you can control the music from anywhere within your WiFi network. Phone needs to be near the speaker or the music will stop playing.
Casting music over WiFi doesn’t drain your battery Using bluetooth to cast music will drain your battery
